Article 1
This Law shall govern the health insurance in the Republic of Serbia.
Health insurance in the Republic of Serbia shall be compulsory and voluntary health insurance.

Article 2
This Law shall govern the rights derived from compulsory health insurance and the conditions for the exercise thereof, the financing of the compulsory health insurance, contracting health protection, the organization of the compulsory health insurance and other issues relevant for the compulsory health insurance system.
This Law shall govern the types of voluntary health insurance, the conditions for the organization and implementation thereof, the financing of the voluntary health insurance and other issues relevant for the voluntary health insurance.

Article 3
Compulsory health insurance shall be the insurance by means of which the insured persons and other persons shall be ensured the right to health protection and pecuniary compensation in line with this Law.
