Article 1
The present Law shall govern foreign trade operations in keeping with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules and the European Union (EU) regulations, as well as the competences of the Foreign Investment and Export Promotion Agency.
Foreign trade shall mean the trading of goods and services and business operation by foreign persons in the Republic of Serbia and by domestic persons in another state or customs territory.
Foreign trade in some kinds of goods and services may be governed separately in keeping with the WTO rules and EU regulations.
Foreign trade in armaments, military equipment and dual purpose goods shall be governed by a separate law.
